Regular Season Round 19: Demir IBB - Anadolu Efes 63-77

Very predictable result in Buyukcekmece where fourth ranked Anadolu Efes (13-6) defeated 11th ranked Demir IBB (7-12) 77-63 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Anadolu Efes made 7 blocks. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for swingman Sonny Weems (198-86, college: Arkansas) who led his team to a victory scoring 25 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Toney Douglas (188-86, college: Florida St.) helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds. Four Anadolu Efes players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Bracey Wright (191-84, college: Indiana) responded with 15 points (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and point guard Erving Walker (173-90, college: Florida, agency: Two Points) scored 11 points and 5 assists. Demir IBB's coach Ozhan Civgin rotated ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Anadolu Efes maintains fourth place with 13-6 record. Loser Demir IBB dropped to the tenth position with 12 games lost. Anadolu Efes will face Trabzonspor (#10) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Demir IBB will play against Gaziantep and hope to win that game.
