Second Stage Round 7: Chernomorets - Balkan 2 79-81

The most exciting game of round 7 in the Division A took place in Burgas. This derby game ended with only two-point home defeat of 5th ranked Chernomorets (2-5) to fourth ranked Balkan 2 (4-3) 81-79 on Sunday evening. Balkan 2 made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Rumen Vasilev (205-96) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 14 rebounds. Aleksandar Iliev (196-96) contributed with 17 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Forward Emil Dimov (190-81) answered with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and swingman Stoyan Milchev (185-95) added 16 points, 12 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Chernomorets. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Balkan 2 moved-up to third place in A. Chernomorets at the other side keeps the fifth position with five games lost. Balkan 2 are looking forward to face Vidabasket (#4) in Vidin in the next round. Chernomorets will play at home against the league's leader CSKA and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
