An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Mykolaiv. First ranked Niko-Basket faced 4th ranked Kharkivski Sokoly. Host Niko-Basket (19-3) defeated guests from Kharkiv (11-13) 62-58. The hosts trailed by 13 points after three quarters before their 26-9 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Niko-Basket outrebounded Kharkivski Sokoly 52-31 including a 19-7 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was swingman Maksym Ozhegov (190-90) who scored 18 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Roman Gumeniuk (220-87) chipped in 9 points and 16 rebounds. Niko-Basket's coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Roman Olkhovskyi (196-90) who recorded a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists and guard Sergiy Olkhovikov (187-91) added 12 points respectively. Niko-Basket maintains first position with 19-3 record. Newly promoted Kharkivski Sokoly keeps the fourth place with 13 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
