Regular Season Round 19: Fenerbahce - Galatasaray 80-60

BSL top team - Fenerbahce (16-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed tenth ranked Galatasaray (7-12) in Istanbul 80-60. It was a quality performance for center Ahmet Duverioglu (209-93) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field). Italian forward Luigi Datome (203-87) accounted for 15 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American-Congolese Dwight Hardy (188-87, college: St.John's) came up with 23 points and American-FYR Macedonian center Richard Hendrix (203-86, college: Alabama, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Galatasaray in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Fenerbahce have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 16-3 record, which they share with Tofas. Galatasaray at the other side keeps the tenth position with 12 games lost. They share it with Trabzonspor and Demir IBB. Fenerbahce will play against Pinar Karsiyaka (#14) on the road in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Galatasaray will play against Eskisehir Basket (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
