An exciting game was played in Virum. Second ranked Virum faced one of their biggest challengers Stevnsgade. Host Virum (14-5) defeated guests from Stevnsgade (12-7) 57-43. The game without a history. Virum led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Virum outrebounded Stevnsgade 44-23 including a 31-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a good game for forward Ellen Iversen (180-97) who led her team to a victory with 16 points. The former international guard Frederikke Mollerup (176-95) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Forward Emilie Hesseldal (186-90, college: Colorado St.) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and the former international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) added 6 points and 4 steals in the effort for Stevnsgade. Stevnsgade's coach rotated eleven players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains second position with 14-5 record behind leader Horsholm. Stevnsgade at the other side keeps the third place with seven games lost. Virum will play against bottom-ranked Vaerlose (#6) at home in the next round. Stevnsgade will play against SISU in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
