The most surprising game was a loss of top-ranked Gruner Stern Keltern (16-4) in Noerdlingen on Sunday night. Visitors were defeated by sixth ranked TH Wohnbau Angels (11-8) 88-74. TH Wohnbau Angels made 29-of-34 free shots (85.3 percent) during the game, while Gruner Stern Keltern only scored four points from the stripe. They outrebounded Gruner Stern Keltern 37-19 including a 32-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian forward Kim Pierre-Louis (183-93, college: Massachusetts) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds and international forward Luisa Geiselsoeder (189-0) who added 18 points during the contest. TH Wohnbau Angels' coach Patrick Bar used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The former international guard Stina Barnert (173-89) responded with 23 points and 4 assists and Serbian Marina Markovic (185-91, agency: ProDep Management) scored 12 points. Five TH Wohnbau Angels and four Gruner Stern Keltern players scored in double figures. TH Wohnbau Angels maintains sixth position with 11-8 record. Gruner Stern Keltern at the other side still keeps top place with four games lost. They share the position with Wasserburg. TH Wohnbau Angels are looking forward to face Hannover (#7) on the road in the next round. Gruner Stern Keltern will play against BasCats Heidelberg (#10) and is hoping to win this game.
