Bottom-ranked Siauliai-Univ. (0-22) is still winless. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their 22th consecutive match to third ranked Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas (17-5) 78-52. The game without a history. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Siauliai-Univ. to just 5 points in first quarter. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas forced 20 Siauliai-Univ. turnovers and outrebounded them 42-30 including 18 on the offensive glass. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas' coach Mantas Sernius felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Center Enrika Matiukaite (191-0) came up with 13 points and 7 rebounds and Brigita Sinickaite (175-1) added 13 points respectively for Siauliai-Univ. in the defeat. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas maintains third place with 17-5 record behind leader Suduva. Siauliai-Univ. at the other side still closes the standings. Hoptrans-Sirenos Kaunas will play against league's leader Suduva in Marijampole in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Siauliai-Univ. will play on the road against Fortuna (#4) in Klaipeda and hopes to get finally their first victory.
