Regular Season Round 26: Bakirkoy - Turk Telekom 72-87

TBL top team - Turk Telekom (25-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked Bakirkoy (12-14) in Istanbul 87-72. Turk Telekom players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists. American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 17 rebounds and 6 assists to lead the charge for the winners and forward Nusret Yildirim (202-89) chipped in 17 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Canadian guard Marek Klassen (185-92, college: Point Loma) responded with 12 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists and Berkan Durmaz (205-97) scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Five Turk Telekom and four Bakirkoy players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Turk Telekom have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 25-1 record. Bakirkoy lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 14 games lost. They share the position with Orman Genclik. Turk Telekom will play against Karesi Spor (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bakirkoy will play against TED Kolejliler in Ankara and hopes to get back on the winning track.
