Regular Season Round 39: Zalgiris II - Ezerunas 81-78

The most exciting game of round 39 in the NKL took place in Kaunas. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of 8th ranked Ezerunas (18-20) to fifth ranked Zalgiris II (20-18) 81-78 on Friday evening. Zalgiris II looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for swingman Matas Jogela (198-98) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Grantas Vasiliauskas (204-99) helped adding 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was Karolis Lukosiunas (196-97) with 16 points and guard Arnas Adomavicius (190-0) scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Ezerunas' coach Gintautas Vileita rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Zalgiris II maintains fifth place with 20-18 record. Ezerunas at the other side keeps the eighth position with 20 games lost. They share it with Jonava.
