Regular Season Round 15: Dynamo-NPU - Rivne 65-58

The game between third ranked Rivne (10-13) and fifth ranked Dynamo-NPU (10-11) was the most important one in the last round on Friday night. Rivne was defeated by Dynamo-NPU in a tough game in Kyiv 58-65. Rivne trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 18-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 58-65 at the end of the game. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Dynamo-NPU made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was Olena Boiko (185-97) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Russian forward Elena Koshurina (182-85) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Viktoriya Shmatova who recorded 20 points and 5 assists and center Tetiana Havrylchyk (196-0) added 8 points and 10 rebounds respectively. Dynamo-NPU have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Chaika. Rivne at the other side dropped to the fifth position with 13 games lost. Dynamo-NPU is looking forward to face league's second-placed Interkhim in Odessa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rivne will play at home against Chaika and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
