Regular Season Round 24: Schwabing - Bamberg 64-72

There was an upset when higher ranked Schwabing (9-12) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Bamberg (6-16) 72-64 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Daniel Eisenhardt (200-96) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 16 rebounds. Point guard Kevin Jefferson (175-96) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Five Bamberg players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Chris Wurmseher (192-97) who recorded 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American swingman Nathan Gibbs (203-89, college: Westmont) added 10 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Schwabing's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bamberg moved-up to twelfth place in South-East, which they share with Jena II. Loser Schwabing keeps the eighth position with 12 games lost. Bamberg will face higher ranked Ansbach (#7) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
