Forward Donatas Sabeckis (197-92) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points, 16 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and international power forward Laurynas Birutis (213-97) supported him with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Even 18 points and 5 rebounds by Osvaldas Olisevicius (200-93) did not help to save the game for P.Zvaigzdes. American-Puerto Rican point guard TreVon Hughes (183-87, college: Wisconsin) added 13 points, 6 assists and 6 steals for lost side. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Siauliai have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain fifth position with 10-15 record. Loser P.Zvaigzdes keeps the sixth place with 16 games lost. They share the position with Juventus. Siauliai will meet league's leader Zalgiris in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. P.Zvaigzdes will play against Nevezis (#9) and hope to secure a win.
