Regular Season Round 22: Flames - Timberwolves 100-106

2.Bundesliga top team - Timberwolves (20-2) added another victory to their record. This time they beat ninth ranked Flames (8-14) in Vienna 106-100. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Flames won third quarter 22-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Timberwolves players were unselfish on offense dishing 29 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Laurence Mueller (178-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Serbian center Marko Kolaric (213-84, college: Chaminade) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Timberwolves' coach Hubert Schmidt allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Bosnian-Slovenian center Fuad Memcic (209-82, agency: Promotex) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Dominik Alturban (190-85) added 24 points and 4 assists in the effort for Flames. Four Timberwolves and five Flames players scored in double figures. Timberwolves have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 20-2 record. Flames at the other side dropped to the eighth place with 14 games lost.
