Regular Season Round 22: Metalac - Dynamic BG 87-83

Round 22 in KLS means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Valjevo where host Metalac (13-9) beat league's leader Dynamic BG (17-5) 87-83 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 31-19 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Metalac made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Dynamic BG outrebounded Metalac 41-27 including 27 on the defensive glass. 27 personal fouls committed by Dynamic BG helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Guard Aleksandar Vasic (185-87) fired a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 assists for the winners. Point guard Djukan Djukanovic (182-92, agency: SPORTlab Agency) chipped in 19 points. Four Metalac players scored in double figures. The former international forward Nemanja Krstic (203-93) produced 26 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and guard Milos Milisavljevic (193-93) added 17 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Dynamic BG's coach Miroslav Nikolic tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Metalac moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Vojvodina NS and Zlatibor. Dynamic BG at the other side dropped to the second position with five games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Borac. Dynamic BG will play next round against Spartak trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Metalac will try to continue on its current victory against fourth ranked Vojvodina NS in Novi Sad.
