Regular Season Round 24: Ansbach - Oberhaching 53-65

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Ansbach (10-12) was defeated at home by first ranked Oberhaching (19-3) 65-53 on Saturday. Oberhaching made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was guard Christian Hustert (192-94) who scored 15 points and 7 rebounds. Serbian center Miljan Grujic (206) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds (went 8 for 8 at the free throw line). At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward Nick Freer (198-85, college: Grand Valley St., agency: Athleadz) who recorded 19 points and guard Markus Person (189-81) added 4 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Oberhaching have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South-East with 19-3 record, which they share with Gotha II. Loser Ansbach keeps the seventh place with 12 games lost. Oberhaching will face TSV Troester (#5) in Breitenguessbach in the next round. Ansbach will play on the road against Bamberg and hope to win that game.
