An interesting game took place in Istanbul, where 8th ranked Eskisehir Basket (10-10) lost to eleventh ranked Galatasaray (8-12) in a road game 78-84 on Saturday. Galatasaray looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American-Bosnian point guard Alex Renfroe (191-86, college: Belmont, agency: BeoBasket) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 6 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) and American-FYR Macedonian center Richard Hendrix (203-86, college: Alabama, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. American power forward Josh Duncan (203-86) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and international guard Ahmet Tuncer (193-93, agency: 1x1 Sports) scored 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Galatasaray moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Istanbul BBSK. Eskisehir Basket lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eighth position with ten games lost. Galatasaray will meet Demir IBB (#11) in the next round. Eskisehir Basket will play against Pinar Karsiyaka and hope to secure a win.
