Everything went according to plan when first ranked Muenster (21-2) won against at home 13th ranked Bonn II (3-20) 66-51 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was forward Andrej Koenig (195-87) who scored 16 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Jan Koenig (201-93) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. Muenster's coach Phillip Kappenstein allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was American power forward KJ Sherrill (203-91, college: Augusta) who recorded 25 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and point guard David Falkenstein (185-97) added 12 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Muenster have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position in West with 21-2 record. Bonn II lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the thirteenth place with 20 games lost. Muenster will face Hagen-Haspe (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bonn II will play against Duesseldorf and hope to win that game.
