Regular Season Round 24: Recklinghausen - Kamp-Lintfort 92-73

Very expected game when 12th ranked Kamp-Lintfort (4-19) was rolled over on the road by sixth ranked Recklinghausen (14-9) 92-73 on Saturday. Recklinghausen made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Kamp-Lintfort was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was American forward Jarred Jones (201-93, college: Loyola, MD) who had a double-double by scoring 25 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Naturalized Kosovan guard Fahri Breca (190-85, agency: Court Side) chipped in 15 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was center Lennart Boner (206) who recorded a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and center Gideon Schwich (192-87) added 14 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Recklinghausen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place in West, which they share with Duesseldorf and Ibbenbueren. Kamp-Lintfort lost third consecutive game. Kamp-Lintfort at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the twelfth position with 19 games lost. Recklinghausen will face Dorsten (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Kamp-Lintfort will play against Ibbenbueren and hope to win that game.
