Regular Season Round 19: Horsholm - Vaerlose 98-45

Dameligaen top team - Horsholm (17-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed sixth ranked Vaerlose (2-18) 98-45. The game without a history. Horsholm led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vaerlose to just 4 points in first quarter. Horsholm dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Vaerlose's 24. Horsholm forced 32 Vaerlose turnovers and outrebounded them 37-24 including 26 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 12 passes made by Vaerlose's players. It was a quality performance for American forward Maryah Sydnor (185-93, college: Appalachian St.) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Gritt Ryder (173-92, college: Colorado St.) accounted for 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side. Four Horsholm players scored in double figures. Coach Jesper Krone Rasmussen's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players saving starting five for next games. Forward Celine Schiffer (-97) came up with 8 points and 5 rebounds and American center Paige Cashin (193-95, college: S.Florida) added 6 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Vaerlose in the defeat. Horsholm maintains first place with 17-3 record. Vaerlose lost twelfth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 18 lost games.
