Regular Season Round 15: Dynamo-NPU - Vinnystkiye M. 75-52

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams in Kyiv where fifth ranked Dynamo-NPU (10-11) outscored 4th placed Vinnystkiye M. (9-14) 75-52 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Dynamo-NPU. Vinnystkiye M. was better in second period 14-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Vinnystkiye M. to just 6 points in third quarter. Dynamo-NPU made 19-of-22 free shots (86.4 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was Russian forward Elena Koshurina (182-85) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Iryna Basalyk (176-85) chipped in 21 points and 8 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Four Dynamo-NPU players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international center Yevgeniya MBaye (192-92) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and point guard Viktoriya Khomiak (170-95) added 14 points and 6 rebounds respectively. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dynamo-NPU. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Chaika. Loser Vinnystkiye M. dropped to the sixth position with 14 games lost. Dynamo-NPU will face league's second-placed Interkhim in Odessa in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Vinnystkiye M. will play at home against HAI (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
