Regular Season Round 24: Goetting.ASC - BSW Sixers 71-84

Leader Sixers delivered the nineteenth victory on Saturday night. This time they beat 7th ranked Goetting.ASC (10-10) 84-71 in Goettingen. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Goetting.ASC. Sixers looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. The best player for the winners was Croatian point guard Luka Petkovic (190-88) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 5 rebounds and 14 assists. American forward Terrence Williams (198-93, college: Charlotte) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Sixers players scored in double figures. Sixers' coach Tomas Grepl used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) who recorded a double-double by scoring 18 points and 14 rebounds and Philipp Sprung (195-94) added 16 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Sixers have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position in North with 19-1 record. Newly promoted Goetting.ASC keeps the seventh place with ten games lost. Sixers will face Weser Bsk/BTS (#12) in Neustadt in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Goetting.ASC will play on the road against Vechta-2 (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
