There was a minor upset when 4th ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (13-11) were defeated at home by sixth ranked Dukes (12-12) 89-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Dukes. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels was better in fourth quarter 27-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Dukes looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Naturalized Argentinian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) scored 29 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Bosnian power forward Edin Bavcic (209-84, agency: BeoBasket) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. The former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) responded with 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and Montenegrin center Milovan Draskovic (211-95, agency: Interperformances) scored 16 points and 9 rebounds. Four Raiffeisen Flyers Wels players scored in double figures. Dukes have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain sixth position with 12-12 record. Loser Raiffeisen Flyers Wels keep the fourth place with 11 games lost. Dukes will face league's second-placed Gmunden Swans on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels will play against Vienna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
