Very expected game in Porto where 16th ranked Moscavide (2-20) was crushed by ninth ranked Dragon Force (15-7) 76-46 on Sunday. Dragon Force dominated down low during the game scoring 50 of its points in the paint compared to Moscavide's 22. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of Cape Verdean center Kevin-Clay Gomes (209-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds and Francisco Amarante (192-0) who added 10 points and 8 assists during the contest. Four Dragon Force players scored in double figures. Coach Joao Perdo Goncalves's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Tiago Magalhaes (192-76) responded with 11 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Americo Matos (-95) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Dragon Force have an impressive eight-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position in Places 9-16 with 15-7 record. Moscavide lost tenth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay dead last with 20 lost games. Dragon Force will face Estoril Basket (#12) on the road in the next round. Moscavide will play against Beira Mar (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
