Regular Season Round 20: Targu Mures - CSU Sibiu 49-105

Liga Nationala top team - CSU Sibiu (16-4) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed ninth ranked Targu Mures (6-13) 105-49. The game without a history. CSU Sibiu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Targu Mures' 34. CSU Sibiu forced 26 Targu Mures turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 8 passes made by Targu Mures' players. Worth to mention a quality performance of American guard Marcel Davis (188-94, college: Utah Valley) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 4 assists and international point guard Mirel Dragoste (184-95) who added 21 points during the contest. CSU Sibiu's coach Dan Fleseriu felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Ioan-Alin Borsa (201-90) responded with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and Tudor Garbea scored 11 points and 6 rebounds. CSU Sibiu have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 16-4 record. Targu Mures lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with 13 games lost. CSU Sibiu will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Targu Mures will play on the road against CS Dinamo Bucuresti (#12) and hope to get back on the winning track.
