There was no surprise when 16th ranked Usak Sportlif (4-16) was defeated on the road by seventh ranked Sakarya BSB (12-8) 83-73. 27 personal fouls committed by Usak Sportlif helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by Puerto Rican guard Gian Clavell (193-93, college: Colorado St.) who scored that evening 21 points and point guard Can Korkmaz (187-92, agency: BeoBasket) supported him with 12 points and 4 assists. Four Sakarya BSB players scored in double figures. Sakarya BSB's coach Selcuk Ernak allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Even 27 points and 7 rebounds by American forward Jordan Hamilton (201-90, college: Texas) did not help to save the game for Usak Sportlif. American-Nigerian Ike Ofoegbu (205-84, college: SMU) added 12 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the guests. Sakarya BSB moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Banvit BK. Usak Sportlif lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with 16 games lost. Sakarya BSB's next round opponent will be higher ranked Besiktas (#3) in Istanbul and it may be quite challenging game. Usak Sportlif will play at home against Istanbul BBSK (#9) and hope to win that game.
