Regular Season Round 27: Bandirma Kir. - Ankara DSI 86-80

There was no surprise in Balikesir where 16th ranked Ankara D.S.I. (7-20) was defeated by seventh ranked Bandirma Kir. (16-11) 86-80. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. It was a good game for Berke Atar who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Guard Eray Akyuz (187-0) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Bandirma Kir. players scored in double figures. Bandirma Kir.'s coach allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American forward Mike Davis (205-88, college: Illinois, agency: Octagon Europe) answered with 27 points and 6 rebounds and point guard Ali Kavaklioglu (186-86) added 5 points, 7 rebounds, 18 assists and 4 steals in the effort for Ankara D.S.I.Bandirma Kir. moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Bahcesehir. Ankara D.S.I. at the other side dropped to the fourteenth position with 20 games lost. Bandirma Kir.'s next round opponent will be higher ranked Afyon Bld (#4) in Afyonkarahisar and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ankara D.S.I. will play at home against Socar Petkim (#14) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
