Regular Season Round 27: Turk Telekom - Karesi Spor 96-71

TBL top team - Turk Telekom (26-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eleventh ranked Karesi Spor (11-16) in Ankara 96-71. Turk Telekom forced 21 Karesi Spor turnovers. It was a quality performance for American point guard TJ Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) who led the winners and scored 24 points, 7 assists and 4 steals. Forward Nusret Yildirim (202-89) accounted for 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winning side. Forward Hazer Avci (206-87, agency: Court Side) came up with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds and Canadian power forward Ryan Wright (206-87, college: Oklahoma) added 14 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots) respectively for Karesi Spor in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the thirteenth consecutive win for Turk Telekom. They maintain first place with 26-1 record. Karesi Spor lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the thirteenth position with 16 games lost. Turk Telekom will play against Akhisar Bld (#9) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Karesi Spor will play against TED Kolejliler (#16) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
