Timba Timosoara was better in third quarter 25-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Timba Timosoara to just 5 points in fourth quarter. Oradea shot 65.0 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three sinking 18 long-distance shots on high 56.3 percentage. The best player for the winners was Bosnian guard Muhamed Pasalic (192-87, agency: PEPI SPORT) who scored 27 points and 4 assists (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). American guard Kris Richard (196-89, college: Tulane, agency: KMG Sports Management) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Montenegrin Damjan Kandic (208-84) who recorded 18 points and Serbian point guard Filip Dumic (180-90) added 12 points, 5 assists and 4 steals respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Oradea moved-up to third place, which they share with BC Timisoara and Steaua CSM. Newly promoted Timba Timosoara dropped to the ninth position with 16 games lost. Oradea will face Steaua CSM (#4) in Bucuresti in the next round. Timba Timosoara will play on the road against Targu Mures (#9) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
