Regular Season Round 25: Wusterhausen - Ebstorf 87-38

Rather expected game when 13th ranked Ebstorf (1-21) was smashed by tenth ranked WSG Koenigs (9-12) in Wildau 87-38 on Saturday. WSG Koenigs dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Ebstorf's 22. WSG Koenigs forced 21 Ebstorf turnovers and outrebounded them 35-22 including 25 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for Julius Duering (193-97) who helped to win the game recording 17 points. Noe Trenz (195-89) contributed with 10 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Coach Lars Bothe's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Konrad Burda (195-96) answered with 9 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Rouven Lopez-Acebedo (177-90) added 7 points in the effort for Ebstorf. The victory was the third consecutive win for WSG Koenigs. They maintain tenth place in North with 9-12 record. Ebstorf lost their eighth game in a row. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 21 games lost. WSG Koenigs will face higher ranked Westerstede (#7) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ebstorf will play against Stade (#6) and hope to win that game.
