Leader CSU Sibiu delivered the eighteenth victory. This time they crushed 11th ranked Politehnica Iasi (4-18) 89-67. The game without a history. CSU Sibiu led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to Politehnica Iasi's 36. CSU Sibiu forced 19 Politehnica Iasi turnovers and outrebounded them 36-19 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for CSU Sibiu especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 53.3 percentage. The game was dominated by American players. Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman, agency: Court Side) nailed 18 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists for the winning side and forward Lawrence Kinnard (203-86, college: UAB) accounted for 19 points and 8 rebounds. Five CSU Sibiu players scored in double figures. Guard Tayloe Taylor (191-86, college: Livingstone) came up with 26 points and 4 assists and swingman Jalen Jackson (198-94, college: UALR) added 17 points respectively for Politehnica Iasi in the defeat. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. CSU Sibiu (18-4) have an impressive series of ten victories in a row. They maintain first place, which they share with UBT Cluj Napoca. Politehnica Iasi lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the eleventh position with 18 games lost. CSU Sibiu will have a break next round. Politehnica Iasi will play at home against Craiova (#7) and hope to win that game.
