An interesting game for Neustadt TSV (17-4) which hosted in Neustadt 3rd placed Aschersleben (14-8). Second ranked Neustadt TSV managed to get a 5-point victory 94-89. It was a great shooting night for Neustadt TSV especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 57.1 percentage. British guard Rishi Kakad (188-87, college: Hawaii Pacific) stepped up and scored 30 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and American power forward Jake Marvin (203, college: Hastings) chipped in 19 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side Finnish swingman Vesa Heinonen (194-91) responded with 21 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and Croatian Robert Kujundzic (202-94) scored 21 points. Five Neustadt TSV and four Aschersleben players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Neustadt TSV. Newly promoted Neustadt TSV maintains second place in North with 17-4 record having eight points less than leader Muenster. Aschersleben at the other side keeps the third position with eight games lost. Neustadt TSV will play against Bergedorf (#9) in Hamburg in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aschersleben will have a break next round.
