Regular Season Round 25: Vechta II - Goetting.ASC 107-99

No shocking result in a game when fifth ranked Vechta-2 (13-8) beat at home 7th ranked Goetting.ASC (10-11) 107-99 on Saturday. They outrebounded Goetting.ASC 38-24 including 28 on the defensive glass. Vechta-2 looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Goetting.ASC's players. It was a very good performance for Croatian center Neven Zeravica (205-88, college: W.Virg.Wesl.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 32 points, 13 rebounds and 6 assists (on 14-of-16 shooting from the field). American swingman Robert Crawford (201-90, college: Cent.Arkansas) contributed with 21 points for the winners. Vechta-2's coach Hanno Stein used an eleven-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Swingman Jorge Schmidt (193-85) answered with 29 points and 5 rebounds and swingman Nick Boakye (197-95) added 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Goetting.ASC. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Vechta-2 moved-up to fourth place in North, which they share with Rendsburg. Newly promoted Goetting.ASC keeps the seventh position with 11 games lost. Vechta-2 will face ALBA-2 (#11) in Berlin in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Goetting.ASC will play on the road against Weser Bsk/BTS (#12) in Neustadt and hope to win that game.
