Regular Season Round 26: Mariupol - Kremen-2 101-93

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Kremen-2 (16-9) against fourth ranked Mariupol (12-11) on Saturday night. Visiting Kremen-2 was defeated by Mariupol in a tough game in Mariupol 93-101. The hosts trailed by 4 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 101-93. Mariupol made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game. Strangely Kremen-2 outrebounded Mariupol 38-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was guard Vladyslav Ryzhov (190-94) who scored 37 points (!!!) and 5 assists. Gleb Buzko (192-92) chipped in 25 points. Guard Yaroslav Kadygrob (195-91) produced 27 points and 5 rebounds and center Aleksandr Ryhljuk (208-84) added 16 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Mariupol maintains fourth position with 12-11 record. Loser Kremen-2 keeps the third place with nine games lost. Mariupol will again meet at home higher ranked Kremen-2 (#3) in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Kremen-2 will have a break next round.
