There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Jena II (7-16) won against at home higher ranked Schwabing (9-13) 81-72 on Saturday. Jena II forced 21 Schwabing turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Schwabing's players. It was a very good performance for American power forward Justin Smith (201-87, college: Hawaii-Hilo) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Point guard Moritz Schneider (189-99) contributed with 7 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Jena II's coach Christopher Schreiber used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Guard Joshua Obiesie (197) answered with 29 points and 4 assists and Fynn Fischer (208-99) added 16 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Schwabing. Jena II moved-up to eleventh place in South-East. Schwabing lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with 13 games lost. Jena II will have a break next round.
