Regular Season Round 26: Bursa BSB - Izmit 66-63

The most exciting game of round 26 in the TKBL took place in Bursa. This derby game ended with only three-point defeat on the road of one of their biggest challengers Izmit (16-7) to fourth ranked Bursa BSB (17-8) 66-63 in the game for the third place. It ended at the same time the seven-game winning streak of Izmit. Forward Dilek Dedeoglu (183-83, agency: Fly Basketball) scored 23 points to lead the charge for the winners and guard Halime Uykan (165-89) chipped in 13 points and 6 assists during the contest. American forward Arhonda Covington (185-85, college: Louisville) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 14 rebounds and guard Melek Yusufoglu (168-94) scored 8 points and 8 assists. Four Izmit players scored in double figures. Bursa BSB moved-up to third place. Izmit at the other side dropped to the fourth position with seven games lost. Bursa BSB are looking forward to face Cankaya (#6) in Ankara in the next round. Izmit will play at home against Mersin Uni and is hoping to win this game.
