Regular Season Round 16: Vinnystkiye M. - HAI 75-65

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked HAI's (9-16) road loss to sixth ranked Vinnystkiye M. (11-14) in Vinnytsia 65-75 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Vinnystkiye M.. HAI was better in second period 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded HAI 47-34 including 36 on the defensive glass. Vinnystkiye M. looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists. It was a very good performance for point guard Viktoriya Khomiak (170-95) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Larysa Stadnik (185-92) contributed with 17 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. Four Vinnystkiye M. players scored in double figures. The former international center Oleksandra Chek (191-93) replied with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Svitlana Radionova (184-97) added 12 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for HAI. Vinnystkiye M. moved-up to fifth place. HAI lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 16 games lost. Vinnystkiye M. will face bottom-ranked Tavriyska Zirka (#8) in Kherson in the next round. HAI will play at home against Dynamo-NPU and hope to win that game.
