Regular Season Round 16: Interkhim - Dynamo-NPU 73-70

Third-ranked Dynamo-NPU (12-12) was very close to win a game against second ranked Interkhim (18-4) in Odessa. Interkhim managed to secure only three-point victory 73-70. However their fans expected easier game. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Dynamo-NPU. Dynamo-NPU was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 21-10 third quarter run of Interkhim. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of international center Kristina Karp (196-98) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Yelyzaveta Mitina (172-98) who added 18 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Interkhim players scored in double figures. At the losing side Russian forward Elena Koshurina (182-85) responded with 28 points and forward Iryna Basalyk (176-85) scored 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Interkhim maintains second position with 18-4 record having ten points less than leader Kyiv Basket. Dynamo-NPU at the other side keeps the third place with 12 games lost. Interkhim will play against Rivne (#4) on the road in the next round. Dynamo-NPU will play against HAI in Kharkiv and hopes to get back on the winning track.
