There was no surprise when 12th ranked Rosenheim (6-16) lost on the road to tenth ranked Herzogenaurach (8-15) 96-82 on Sunday. Herzogenaurach made 20-of-26 free shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Herzogenaurach outrebounded Rosenheim 41-30 including 31 on the defensive glass. It was a very good performance for forward Patrick Horstmann (201-87, college: Keiser) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists. Austrian swingman Michael Kaiser (195-82) contributed with 20 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winners. Naturalized Albanian guard Shkelzen Bekteshi (185-91) answered with 22 points and 6 rebounds and French forward Evans Ganapamo (201-94, college: Prairie View A&M) added 20 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his nine free throws !!!) in the effort for Rosenheim. Four Herzogenaurach and five Rosenheim players scored in double figures. Herzogenaurach moved-up to ninth place in South-East, which they share with Leitershofen. Loser Rosenheim keeps the twelfth position with 16 games lost. Herzogenaurach will have a break next round. Rosenheim will play on the road against Schwabing (#8) and hope to win that game.
