Date: March 18, 2018
An interesting game for Fenerbahce (17-4) which hosted in Istanbul 4th placed Botas (13-8). Third ranked Fenerbahce had an easy win 86-56. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Botas. They outrebounded Botas 42-24 including a 30-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Czech-American power forward Kia Vaughn (193-87, college: Rutgers) nailed 21 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and American guard Kelsey Plum (173-94, college: Washington) accounted for 13 points and 5 assists. Four Fenerbahce players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Fenerbahce maintains third place with 17-4 record having just seven point less than leader Cukurova. Loser Botas keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. They share it with Mersin BSB. Fenerbahce will meet league's leader Cukurova in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Botas will play against Ormanspor and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
