Second Stage Round 11: Beroe - Slavia 79-70

An interesting game for Beroe (5-1) which hosted in Stara Zagora 3rd placed Slavia (2-5). Second ranked Beroe managed to get a 9-point victory 79-70. Beroe forced 23 Slavia turnovers. International Violina Kocheva (175-91) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international forward Ralitsa Naneva (177-86) contributed with 21 points and 5 assists for the winners. Antonia Filipova (180-98) answered with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 11 rebounds and the former international center Emilia Yancheva (193-89) added 15 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Slavia. Beroe maintains second place with 5-1 record behind leader Haskovo 2012. Newly promoted Slavia keeps the third position with five games lost. Beroe are looking forward to face Rilski Sportist (#4) in Samokov in the next round. Slavia will play at home against the league's leader Montana 2003 and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
