We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when 9th ranked Targu Mures (6-16) were defeated at home by tenth ranked Timba Timosoara (6-16) 84-74 on Wednesday. Timba Timosoara dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Targu Mures' 22. American forward Andre Pierce (206, college: TCU) fired a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Serbian guard Dejan Kovacevic (195-89) chipped in 21 points. Tudor Garbea produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 14 rebounds and forward Ioan-Alin Borsa (201-90) added 18 points and 12 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) respectively for lost side. Four Targu Mures players scored in double figures. Timba Timosoara moved-up to ninth place, which they share with defeated Targu Mures. Targu Mures lost sixth consecutive game.
