Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Pitesti (13-9) defeated at home 10th ranked Timba Timosoara (6-16) 95-78 on Friday. Pitesti shot the lights out from three sinking 22 long-distance shots on high 61.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American guard Porter Troupe (196-83, college: Portland, agency: Octagon Europe) fired 27 points for the winners. FYR Macedonian point guard Aleksandar Kostoski (186-88, agency: PEPI SPORT) chipped in 22 points and 5 rebounds (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). Pitesti's coach Hristu Sapera used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Andre Pierce (206, college: TCU) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 11 rebounds and point guard Robert Medgyesi (165-95) added 16 points respectively for lost side.
