TKBL top team - Bodrum (22-3) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Mersin Uni (12-13) 75-52. Bodrum dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Mersin Uni's 34. They outrebounded Mersin Uni 38-26 including 33 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by forward Harika Eldas (182-90, agency: 1andBox Sports Agency) who scored that evening 14 points and 6 rebounds and American center Sasha Goodlett (195-90, college: Georgia Tech) supported her with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Even 20 points and 5 rebounds by the former international forward Nazli Guler (184-82, agency: 1x1 Sports) did not help to save the game for Mersin Uni. Forward Selvin Turkmen (173-80) added 10 points for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bodrum have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 22-3 record. Loser Mersin Uni keeps the ninth place with 13 games lost. Bodrum will meet Izmit (#4) on the road in the next round. Mersin Uni will play against Istanbulgucu (#13) and hope to secure a win.
