Regular Season Round 26: Ebstorf - Stade 61-99

Very predictable result when sixth ranked Stade (13-9) smashed on the road 13th ranked Ebstorf (1-22) 99-61 on Saturday. Stade well out of reach of Ebstorf shooting 73.9 percent from the field and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game, while Ebstorf only scored five points from the stripe. It was a great shooting night for Stade especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 69.2 percentage. Swingman Janis Stielow (193-95) scored 29 points to lead the charge for the winners and Jamo Ruppert (188-94) chipped in 20 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) during the contest. Four Stade players scored in double figures. Canadian guard Justin Dennis (185-87, college: CSU Bakersfield) responded with 25 points (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field) and swingman Konrad Burda (195-96) scored 11 points. Ebstorf's coach gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Stade moved-up to fifth place in North, which they share with Rendsburg. Ebstorf lost ninth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth position with 22 games lost. Stade will face Westerstede (#8) at home in the next round. Ebstorf will play against the league's second-placed Neustadt TSV (#2) and hope to win that game.
