TBL top team - Turk Telekom (27-2) added another victory to their record on Saturday. This time they beat sixth ranked Acibadem (17-12) in Ankara 87-82. American power forward Darryl Monroe (201-86, college: George Mason) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points, 14 rebounds and 4 assists (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field) for the winning side and his fellow American import point guard TJ Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) accounted for 20 points and 4 assists. Point guard Yigitcan Turna (187-87) came up with 20 points and 4 assists and the former international power forward Kerem Gonlum (208-77) added 16 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) respectively for Acibadem in the defeat. Five Turk Telekom and four Acibadem players scored in double figures. Acibadem's coach tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Turk Telekom maintains first place with 27-2 record. Loser Acibadem keeps the sixth position with 12 games lost. Turk Telekom will meet Selcuklu (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Acibadem will play against TED Kolejliler and hope to secure a win.
