There was no surprise when 17th ranked Oettinger Rockets Gotha (4-21) was defeated at home by fourteenth ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (8-18) 74-70. Strangely Oettinger Rockets Gotha outrebounded Mitteldeutscher BC 44-32 including 30 on the defensive glass. 24 personal fouls committed by Oettinger Rockets Gotha helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American point guard Lamont Jones (183-90, college: Iona, agency: Stanislav Ryzhov) notched 25 points to lead the effort and the other American import point guard Marcus Hatten (185-80, college: St.John's) supported him with 15 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals. Even 26 points by American-Ukrainian point guard Jerome Randle (175-87, college: California) did not help to save the game for Oettinger Rockets Gotha.
