Second Stage Round 10: Dragon Force - Academica 75-64

The game between closely ranked teams ended with 10th ranked Academica's (11-13) road loss to ninth ranked Dragon Force (17-7) in Porto 64-75 on Sunday. Dragon Force forced 28 Academica turnovers. It was a very good performance for forward Henrique Barros (193-99) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 7 rebounds. Point guard Daniel Caetano (185-97, college: High School) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Center Krasimir Pereira (195-95) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Goncalo Ferreira (180) added 12 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Academica. Four Academica players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Dragon Force have an impressive ten-game winning streak. They maintain ninth position in Places 9-16 with 17-7 record. Academica lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the tenth place with 13 games lost. Dragon Force's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Porto to the arena Vasco.
