Regular Season Round 22: Anadolu Efes - Tofas 87-79

The most important game in the last round took place in Istanbul between second ranked Tofas (17-5) and fourth ranked Anadolu Efes (15-7) on Monday night. Tofas was defeated by Anadolu Efes in a tough game on the road 79-87. Strangely Tofas outrebounded Anadolu Efes 32-0 including a 26- advantage in defensive rebounds. Australian power forward Brock Motum (208-90, college: Washington St.) scored 30 points (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and American-Armenian center Bryant Dunston (203-86) chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. At the losing side swingman Sammy Mejia (198-83, college: De Paul) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals and American power forward Raymar Morgan (203-88, college: Michigan St.) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Four Tofas players scored in double figures. Anadolu Efes moved-up to third place, which they share with Besiktas. Tofas at the other side keeps the second position with five games lost. Anadolu Efes is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Usak Sportlif (#16) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Tofas will play against Gaziantep (#15) and is hoping to win this game.
