Second Stage Round 6: Jezica - Grosbasket 52-70

SKL round 6 most important game was a victory of Grosbasket over 6th ranked Jezica 70-52 on Wednesday night. The game was mostly controlled by Grosbasket. Jezica managed to win second period 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Jezica to just 6 points in first and third quarters. Grosbasket dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to Jezica's 20. Grosbasket forced 21 Jezica turnovers. It was a good game for center Teja Gorsic (187-99) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Mojca Ahac (177-0) contributed with 14 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Grosbasket players scored in double figures. Guard Sasa Ziherl (174-92) replied with 20 points and guard Sandra Bajrektarevic (168-90) added 13 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Jezica. Jezica's coach Mojca Markovic rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Grosbasket (8-12) moved-up to sixth place. Jezica at the other side dropped to the seventh position with 13 games lost. Grosbasket are looking forward to face higher ranked Konjice (#5) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Jezica will play against Domzale and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
