Not a big story in a game in Porto where 11th ranked Vasco (10-13) was defeated by ninth ranked Dragon Force (18-7) 83-66 on Friday. Dragon Force outrebounded Vasco 42-22 including a 36-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for forward Henrique Barros (193-99) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points and 9 rebounds. Francisco Amarante (192-0) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Dragon Force players scored in double figures. Forward Ricardo Alpuim (191-88) responded with 15 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Miguel Toreia (180-93) scored 12 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eleventh consecutive win for Dragon Force. They maintain ninth place in Places 9-16 with 18-7 record. Loser Vasco keeps the eleventh position with 13 games lost. Dragon Force will face Angrabasket (#13) at home in the next round. Vasco will play against Moscavide and hope to win that game.
